About Fran & Pip

We started making gelato for fun, combining Pip’s confectionary wizardry with Fran’s yearning to recreate the ices she’d had living in Rome. Loved ones wolfed them down, asked for more, and encouraged us to spread the joy.
 
We now sell small batches of handmade ices from our base in Lewes.

 

We use the best ingredients: natural and preservative-free; as local and seasonal as possible; sustainably grown and fairly traded; even foraged (though we’re still looking for the elusive South Downs cacao tree).

In Italy, gelato is an essential part of life in every season. Our mission is to bring this daily commitment to joy home. It takes one delicious scoop.
